To code the robot arm, you'll need the following apps:
REV Hardware Client and FRC Driver Station don't come with the WPILIB VSC app you downloaded, so you'll have to download them yourself.
REV Hardware Client
Here is the link for REV Hardware Client- a way to access stats and parameters of different REV Robotics-branded devices (like the motor we use- a NEO VORTEX Brushless motor) with a computer and a cable. We will go over how to use it in a later page. For now, just click the link and download the installer.
This is a screenshot of the link above. Click the Offline Installer bundled with FRC software button, and once it finishes downloading, install the app through the installer.
FRC Driver Station
FRC Driver Station is a tool we use to connect the robot with our computers, letting us control it. It is fundamentally the same as Simulate Robot Code that you used in the Romi Curriculum, except more complicated.
FRC Driver Station (as of 2025) comes with FRC Game Tools- a collection of important programs similar to the WPILIB VSC version you installed earlier.
Downloading is pretty self explanatory- make an account and download the file. Make sure that the version is up to date by clicking the correct year on the dropdown.
