1.2 What is an XRP?

For those unfamiliar with the XRP platform, XRP’s are created by SparkFun Electronics to encourage students to learn basic programming in order to have an easier time on a FIRST team, or to encourage them to pursue STEM-based careers later in their lives.

An XRP comes in a base kit, but can (and should) be modified by the owner, to encourage students to explore different forms of problem-solving.

In the next section, we will cover the rules and objectives of the game in order to better familiarize students with the tasks they will be working on in the XRP curriculum.
